ROOT Founder and CEO to be Honored in Texas by

National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE)

 

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, NOBLE, has recognized ROOT’s founder and CEO, Kenneth E. Barnes, Sr., MS, with a most prestigious national award.  The utmost of congratulations is due to Mr. Barnes for this outstanding accomplishment of receiving the Robert Lamb Humanitarian Award.  The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) was founded in September, 1976, during a three day symposium to address crime in urban low income areas.  NOBLE’s vision is to ensure equity in the administration of justice in the provision of public service to all communities, and to serve as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice by action.  The guiding principles of NOBLE members are respect, uncompromising integrity, courage of convictions, accountability, value of diversity, community, and mentoring.  (For more information on NOBLE visit http://www.noblenational.org/). 

 The Robert Lamb Humanitarian Award is awarded to persons exhibiting outstanding work in at least one of the areas of deadly force, human welfare, and/or social reform.  We, at ROOT, are proud and honored that NOBLE is recognizing our founder and CEO for qualities we already knew he possessed  Mr. Barnes will be properly honored on July 12 in Dallas, Texas during NOBLE’s 2004 Annual Training Conference and Exhibition.  Congratulations Mr. Barnes!
